Welcome to FetusMart where you can adopt a fetus!
11-1-2008: Special Note to broken and missing fetuses! Due to AOL all of the fetuses had to be moved to a new home. I apologize, but you'll have to copy the new code (unless you want to manually change yours).

Welcome to FetusMart! Your one-stop location for all your...fetussy needs. Actually, this is probably the only website in the world where you CAN get fetuses, much less ones that fit your fetussy needs. Not to mention these ones have cute lil hats, and come in jars.

So you know the deal...copy the source code to the right of the fetus you want to adopt, paste the code somewhere and you have your own lil' fetus.

In August of 2004 Fetusmart had 400,000 hits. During this month alone 5,157 were apparently from the U.S. Government. Just to satisfy the government, I'll say that these are nondenominational, non-species specific creatures. I'll also say that I can see the CIA worker hiding in the tree next door, and I'd appreciate it if he'd put his binoculars away. If you still want to email me telling me what a sicko I am, go ahead. I won't argue but to answer the few folks who have emailed to fuss at me... No, they aren't human fetuses. If you don't like them, don't adopt one.

First, off, I'd like to say thank you to the thousands of people who have emailed me over the years...I love getting feedback on the site. I read them as fast as I can, but with such a full schedule I can't always answer immediately. So if you send an e-mail, don't think I'm ignoring you if you don't get a response right away. I do, however, get a lot of repeat e-mails about certain things, so to speed the process up a little bit I present to you....

Please read before e-mailing!
Q: I know it says no requests, but can you make me a ___ fetus?"
A: No, no I can't. I get about ten or so of these a week. The sad truth is that I am completely and utterly out of FTP space. I cannot add even ONE more fetus. Thank you all for your offers of hosting space, but I need all the pics to be located in the same place at a reliable long-term source. Someday I'll upgrade but that won't happen for a while. So essentially...what you see is what you get.
Q: Hey, you should animate the fetuses/make them grow into something."
A: I'd love to do this, but it goes back to not having space... Say I do 3 frames for an animation, or 3 different stages of growth per fetus. That's three times the space it takes up and 3 times the bandwith being used up. Not a good idea.
A: I haven't quite figured this one out yet, but I'm aware of the images occasionally not showing up. I'm pretty sure it goes back to the space thing. If some of the images are down, just check back later.
Q: Are you pro life? Are you a Christian? etc.
A: I'm not answering these sort of questions, ever. They aren't pertinent to the site. Stop asking.
Q: The plural of fetus is feti, not fetuses. Jerk.
A: I know that. Fetuses sounds cuter. And that's Jerk-ette to you.
Q: Can I make my own fetus and put it on the web?
A: My work is copyrighted. When using my design as a base, email me first to ask permission. Also, if you are posting your design on the web, you need to add a link back to Fetusmart as the original source. It is NOT ok to change my design or claim it is your own or to sell it.

Oh look, more words now. For those of you with Myspace accounts, feel free to join Fetus friends

So hey, check this out. I've done several illustrations for Volume One and Two, and the Cover Art for Volume Three, of a swords and sorcery semi-graphic novel called Aerekel. For more information on that project, see Aerekel on Myspace or visit the website.

I am also available for Freelance work at www.taylordowell.com

As always, T-shirts and buttons are available for purchase locally in San Diego. For everybody else, check out the Etsy site I know the stuff's expensive but honestly, they're as cheap as I can make them. So until I go big-time, that's how its gotta be. Stay tuned for updates and as always, more awesomeness than you can shake a stick at.

And here's the link for the Etsy shop.

WEBSITES I RECOMMEND I love kitchy artwork. Check out some of my favourite artists at these sites: www.lisapetrucci.com

I've found out that several people have been duplicating my artwork and claiming it as their own. Imitation may be a form of flattery, but copying my work isn't ok in my books, so knock it off. I'm attaching the following Copyright and Trademark information.
